Your ‘ultimate guide’ to Myrtle Beach covers your essentials that will make planning your itinerary that little bit easier and more enjoyable! We’re taking out some of the ‘leg-work’ for you so that you too can be reminiscing fondly of Myrtle Beach and dreaming up your ‘fun in the sun’ vacation that won’t break the bank.
Besides the undeniable attraction of the ‘The Grand Strand,’ these are some of our top picks for activities, places to eat, and even the times of the year to visit this little jewel on the coast of South Carolina.
When To Go
While the temperatures aren’t typically ‘summer-worthy,’ springtime has some of the lowest hotel rates, cheaper flights, and smaller crowds.
Average temperatures in March are around 68° and April they go up to an average of 76°, which makes for a comfortable change from the wintry chill that March and sometimes April bring in most of the country!
In May the temperatures climb up to the 80s which makes for perfect beach and festival weather! Concerned about rain? April 2017 saw only 7/30 days of rain scattered throughout the month.
March – Run to the Sun Car Show, Myrtle Beach Beerfest, Can-Am Days Festival
April – Wings over Myrtle Beach Air Show, Horry County Fair, Monday After the Masters (for the golf lover)
May – Blue Crab Festival (need we say more?) and the Mayfest on Main festival, which is free!
